Topic	what even is the conflict in Star Wars now. Why are they fighting?

I'm sure there's gonna be some asspull to save the day, but The entire resistance is now a single ship with a small handful of people. The rest of the galaxy has pretty much given up hope on them. They have no supplies or really anything.
