Read that again. I never denied there werent people who knew better. I asked a question whether you think the majority of people knew that compared to today because your post made it sound like people in general had the same cultural understanding about race as today as in the past.

No it didn't.

Then why are you comparing the two? Did Annihilated say he believed every single person in the past was ignorant of it? Tell me if Im being unreasonable here, but I just assumed he meant most of the people in the past were ignorant of race, at least way moreso than today.

"Leftists are even worse than those people. Back in the old days people did racist things out of ignorance. The left is aware that racism is wrong but chooses to do it anyway. That just leaves it up to evil."

His exact quote. I said hold up lets not attribute it to mere ignorance, it was much more sinister than that (obviously). At the root of it all it was a carefully crafted and designed mechanism to amass wealth and power at the expense of people they considered inferior.

What do you think played a bigger role for the levels racism in the past, the general belief that people of other races were inferior or the mechanisms for amassing wealth? In the past, there was even less distribution of wealth then there is today, so its not like most people had an incentive to amass wealth because they simply had no opportunity to do so. Most people were forever destined to be peasants or lower class in the past, so I just dont see the incentive to be racist for that reason because they couldnt amass wealth anyway. If anything, theres more financial incentive today to be racist against another race because a higher percentage of the majority race has a better opportunity of amassing wealth at the expense of other races. But clearly you agree theres less racism today than the past, so it just doesnt add up imo.
