Celsius is better for science, but in my daily life, I don't really give much of a shit about science. I'd argue the same is true for the Imperial/Standard system versus Metric in general - Metric is better for general conversion, sharing data, and scientific discussion, but it's less useful for general life, because Standard measures actually evolved out of real life applications, whereas Metric was a more artificial creation.
