When policies you support actively hurt other people and infringe on their rights, why is it then NOT okay for people to react with an equal aggression in opposition? Because the former is opinion and emotion while the later is physical violence. Most people learn how to seperate the 2 when they are small children, the people who can't are the most potentially dangerous on the Earth. When you are a small marginalized group, particularly with a history of violence being perpetrated against you, it probably doesnt just feel like an opinion. It doesnt take that much empathy to realize this, its a simple concept. None of that is an excuse for violence.
