I have him on ignore temporarily and it sounds like I made a wise choice. I just dislike his modus operandi of being confronted with facts and lying in response. I don't have anyone else on ignore and never have before. I just needed a break from that. Dishonesty really, really bothers me.

Not even remotely. I get way too invested in Save Mys to the point that it becomes too competitive to be fun. On top of that, I have very strong opinions about superheroes and seeing other people take it less seriously or in a way that's just counter-intuitive to me is extremely frustrating. I have long had a passion for what superheroes can tell us about ourselves and our society, but for some people it's fun to just get in cutesy nominations. Furthermore, there aren't a lot of comics readers on the board, so the stuff I really care about wouldn't last that long, and it's just not worth it to watch John Constantine get 75th place while Sailor Moon or something equally frivolous and meritless place Top 10.
