If you give someone fake money, they can go to jail for using it. If you make a real copy of someone's money somehow, you can use that money without harming anyone else. If I stole someone's Ferrari, they'd be missing a Ferrari. If I made a copy for myself, nobody would be harmed. Its because they are losing money for the work they created.
