You say you're not discouraging protest, then turn around and discourage protest. This makes your statements categorically disingenuous.

If you support their issue and have a better way to protest, then by all means, do it yourself.

If you oppose the issue, then any statement against nonviolent protesters will come off as trying to hush them. Support the peoples' right or stand aside.

I mean, even some liberals who are pro-choice are saying this sort of protest was distasteful and unnecessary, so Im probably not the one being unreasonable here for calling out a shitty protest a shitty protest. Its not like the method of protest is above criticism somehow, and I dont get why youre trying to hush people who are just sharing their opinions of how they felt about it, its my right to do so just as its their right to have a shitty protest.
