Lmao, Im surprised at how quickly she walked off that fall. It looked painful

Adrenaline.

I remember when I was doing some drywall patchwork for a recently widowed mother and her daughter in a lavish home in North Dallas where I was finishing up with the clean-up, I over heard the daughter (she must have been around 20-22 at the time) saying that she'd change out the a/c filter in the attic before leaving. Moments passed and as I loaded up the last of my tools ready to go, I hear this unsettling slow creaking noise 20 feet up from the ceiling. THEN BAM, I see a chunks of sheetrock, black insulation, and a body collapse down to the bridge that connects the entry staircase to their updtairs den.

I ran up to see if she was okay, but by the time I got up there she was already standing and walking around looking up at the hole she made. She said she was fine, but I called bullshit and already dialed for an ambulance. She landed her neck on the railing, but luckily there was some white, mega-padded contemporary couch thing that caught most of her body first.

<_< She had to get a neck cast for a couple of weeks... but she fully recovered.

A lot of shit happened there.
- I had to contact her mother.
- changed out her filters (three filters were almost dark gray from what it looks like months and months without replacement)
- laid out an accessible path to their ac units with plywood. (Y'all should have seen the obstacle course in that attic. 4 to 3 foot crawl space, rigid ducts ran across the little pathway. It's no wonder she fell.

This was almost 12 years ago.

That daughter must have been pretty hot!

Because the AC wasn't working

I'll see myself out
