What matters is what all those independent people in the middle think. And so long as their lives are humming along nicely like right now, then historically they vote for the incumbent president. For sure the media's continued meltdown over everything he says and does, every single day isn't winning people over to thir side of things. If anything, that tin foil hat wearing circus of clowns screaming it's the end of the world is pushing people in the middle into Trump's hands.
