Most police officers aren't prepared for such a situation, if you want to criticize training that's fair but these guys are human too and feel fear, get unsure and make mistakes. That isn't a valid excuse for violating SOP. SOP isnt running into gunfire. It actually calls for requesting backup and waiting on orders.
