There are some of us out there who actually want to do... something.
Meh, never understood this. If money wasn't a thing I'd never work another day in my life. I'm not even struggling financially but I like having money because it buys me fun stuff
and this mentality is precisely why socialism would collapse economies and the standard of living
The question is how prevalent is this mentality.
Forgive me for making generalizations, but this does seem to be a common thread particularly among those of us who inhabit online circles as a matter of lifestyle.
Saying for example "Me and all my Overwatch playing buddies would be perfectly happy doing nothing for the rest of our lives and not contributing to society" doesn't take into account all the people out there who *aren't* playing Overwatch.
What I'm suggesting is that the desire to be a "do-nothing" is not how society and humanity conducts as a majority, and I present our current modern society as evidence of that.
For example, explain actors and athletes with all the money and comfort they'll ever need, and why there are so many that get involved in social causes. I mean, why should they, right?
In the end, I think suggesting that socialism will lead to humanity coming to a full stop in progress is unprovable at best, and false at worst.
It's proudclad, he talks about socialism like it broke in to his house killed his puppy and violated his family ---
