| Topic | It's sad how people think there'll be AI and advanced s*** 100 years from now |

I think a lot of people are disappointed with what the reality of the future is compared to what the TV shows/movies/video games of the past showed what it was gonna be. Makes me wonder why the hell dont we ever have a TV show/movie/game set in a future world devastated by climate change. Animals extinct, crops dying, floods destroying homes, humanity overcrowded and running out of resources... It sure would send the best message in getting people to act. Instead it's the usual but unlikely to ever happen s*** like world ends because of wars/nuclear bombs/alien invasions or the extreme opposite of flying spaceships and lasers boom boom. It's sad how people fear some never-going-to-happen WW3 than climate change that's literally happening in front of all of us right now.
