| Topic | Just signed the lease for my first apt in an actual big city...what do I expect? |

You will probably have everything you need nearby. - It's going to be noisy all the time. We have a skytrain that runs near our house until 2 am. You will get used to it, honestly. Sirens are going to go off frequently. Don't sweat it. - If your city has public transit, learn it. They usually have websites that help you plan your route. Even Google Maps will help. Parking in downtown areas almost always sucks. - Just because something is in the same city, doesn't mean it's 'nearby'. Remember to check routes and that traffic can and will delay you. ...
