Yes, the older one looks bad in comparison because things tend to get better over time as new advancements are made. Would you rather have a modern HD TV or a black and white CRT TV? Just because it's revolutionary for its time doesn't necessarily mean it's still good now. plus, by being reluctant to compare like this it means you're also missing the stuff SMB might do better than odyssey, like having a higher difficulty, streamlined design instead of a ton of meandering side objectives, lower commitment due to shorter play time + fast startup -> play, and (for those who really hate motion controls) no motion controls --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!!
