Hey, Dragonfangs here. This was kind of a shitty thing to happen but honestly I can't feel anything but happiness and pride over the full race.
I've been planning, practicing for, and looking forward to this race for several months now. When I realised what happened I really expected despair to set in and I thought I might start crying, but it just never happened. Too much adrenaline in my system maybe, I dunno.
Nobody did anything wrong, shit just happens sometimes and it sucks. But I was happy with my play before it happened, and that race was still INCREDIBLE. Massive shoutouts to my co-racers and the couch for helping me create a great piece of entertainment in the end.
The ZM group went out for food afterwards and the only thing we were talking about was how happy everyone was with the race. Including me and John absolutely failing to do a friendly fistbump after my console died.
I have no regrets. One of the best trips of my life.
