Now when they say we'll never meet other intelligent beings that could very well be true.


That's dependent on the odds of intelligent life emerging which we have no way of knowing. If only 1 in a trillion quadrillion planets in the habitable zone ever develop intelligent life we would likely be the only intelligent life then. without knowing how likely intelligent life is you can't say that statistics dictate there must be other intelligent life out there.
