Dude, look at the picture again and try to imagine how you'd actually have to hold that rifle to use the irons at the angle they're mounted.

I don't even care about the political issues here, but I will make fun of people for their shitty mall ninja guns.

That picture is how you would hold the weapon with iron sights at an angle.

You just don't know anything about shooting


I shoot competively a few times a month in different disciplines. Those irons look like they are mounted at 90 degrees. Imagine trying to get a sight picture if you are right-eye dominant.

They are supposed to be mounted at a 90 degrees. They are not used like regular iron sights. You can have normal flip up sights on your rifle all day long, but if your optic goes to shit when you are engaging what are you going to do? Take the time to take the optic off so you can use your flip up sights?

The amount of time it takes to tilt your gun at an angle and line up the sights is minimal. It might seem like an odd shooting position, but it works. I've attended the armys SFAUCC 3 times and this technique of shooting was taught every time.
