For me it peaked around the time the wallet was implement, maybe a year or so before, before they started implementing a lot of stuff that dumb downed, or 'streamlined' the game, it started dying for me when they implemented like the fast travel points you could now unlock instead of having to use the overworld or use your mage skill to teleport, oh and when they adding bonfires, huge rows of fire's in guthix and gp and randomly was part of the charm for me, it's what made rs rs. It really died when they implemented evolution of combat though, I played it for like an hour after that update before i couldn't enjoy the shitty interface and the combat anymore. So i gave like 200k to a new player who was mining iirc and logged off. Haven't played since.
