Topic	Has Super Metroid been topped?

In one you have projectiles and no experience system and in the other you have no projectiles (or relegated to sub-weapons) and experience points. They're close, but Castlevania is much closer to side-scrolling action RPGs than Metroid. That said, if they're in the same category then Symphony of the Night has already topped Super Metroid. If we're only talking about Metroid then I'd probably put Zero Mission ahead of it, based mainly on the improved controls and map, menus, etc. I think the layout of Super Metroid is still the best of the series, though. If it had all the little improvements of Zero Mission then it would still be the best pretty easily. Who was that guy who used to make a topic like every day about how SotN is an RPG?
