So maybe play the game on a different platform if thats a big deal? The problem isn't cross platform play, the problem is Sony holding Epic accounts hostage if you play at all on PS4. So say a PC player who has bought some stuff in game on their Epic account gets a PS4 then logs on with their Epic account. Now that stuff is locked to the PS4 and can no longer be used on other platforms, even if they want to play again on PC.
