I realize a lot of you are probably very young yourself and don't have the perspective on this, but 20 is very young. I would consider someone that young a kid, a young man at best. it's an in between area, and one where a lot of change is happening.
Bullshit, 20 years old is not a fucking kid!! That's an adult! He wasn't 10 years old, he was 20. He committed some very fucked up crimes and was constantly violent. If he had lived, it was said he was facing a few DECADES worth of jail time at a minimum for all the things he was charged with and they most likely would have found him guilty for at least half the shit he was accused of at the trial that was suppose to happen a few months from now. Hell, one of the crimes (I do believe it was the home invasion / armed robbery / assault crime, one of many crimes he did) he did when he was 17 or so, but it was so fucking severe, they decided to treat him as an adult for just that one alone. Nevermind all the other illegal shit he did when he was 18 / 19 (like beating the shit out of his pregnant girlfriend, repeatedly, witness tampering, witness harassment, and tons of other shit). If he hadn't been shot, he would have rotted away the next few decades in a jail cell.
Most people by age 20 haven't even done half the illegal shit this guy had done. Most people younger than him have enough sense to know that committing the bullshit he did is a fast way to end ones life (whether it's rotting away in jail or getting shot). Most people his age and younger aren't pieces of shit who harm other people.
XXXTentacion was a piece of shit. He should not be glorified. He should not be considered the next Tupac. XXXTentacion should be considered a piece of shit that the world is better off without. There are many people in this world who do good things, yet are never recognized for it. XXXTentacion shouldn't be recognized for anything but being a piece of shit.

According to documents, the reason they decided to treat him as an adult despite him being 17 at the time is because he caused a PERMANENT injury to the person he attacked after he broke into their home and was trying to steal stuff (he took an Iphone, Ipad, and a Sony PSP) and then brutally attacked them. The document says that XXXTentacion caused PERMANENT disability / PERMANENT injury to his victim when he smashed his gun brutally hard as hell to his victim's head / face:
