| Ngamer64 06/20/18 5:06:09 PM #56: | Yowza, it ended up being an ever better weekend for Incredibles than that big Friday indicated. Final numbers are in and I2 hit $183 million, destroying the old animated film record of $135. That's good for the 8th largest opening ever domestically (edging out Civil War). As I mentioned the movie continued to strength every day thanks to the family appeal; it was only the 14th largest Friday but then 10th biggest SAT and 6th highest-grossing Sunday. Fallen Kingdom arrives on Friday and though it's not going to match Jurassic World's Earth-shattering opening ($208 million) it might get close, which could result in an all-timer of a combined weekend given how well Incredibles 2 is likely to hold up. Should be exciting! Speaking of which, here's the updated Summer Standings: 1. Avengers Infinity - $666 2. Deadpool 2 - $297 3. Incredibles 2 - $233 4. Solo - $196 5.
