People who go to a designated entry port and claim asylum are having no issues.

Aren't they being turned away without a hearing?

Nope. Those who have legitimate claims of asylum are being granted asylum. Those who don't are being sent back.

The problem is that a lot of people are trying to circumvent the process. Or just sneak in since they know they don't have a legitimate claim of asylum.

Seems somewhat credible.

An agent who does something like that should be retrained so that they understand how to follow the proper protocol. It's still doesn't make it okay for people to enter illegaly. Two wrongs don't make a right.
