CNN keeps bringing on experts who say how damaging this is to the mental state. some of these kids will have problems for the rest of their lives cause of the trauma of this event. I do not understand why they can't just keep the kids with the parents. put the kids in the same facility, or just deport them as a family. it makes no sense to me I mean, using CNN as a source of news already puts the credibility of that into questions. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I would assume the kids are being brought to a better facility where they are safer, and receiving better treatment then the parents, who are probably stuffed into a cramped, prison like area with everybody else without kids. Otherwise there would be no point to separating them at all. That said, the alternatives many people are suggesting are equally unrealistic. With the most common ones being: "Just let massive amounts of illegal immigration happen." "There should be no punishment for illegally trying to cross the border.
