Where's your proof? Or do you find it mindbreaking that a Black woman could win Miss Japan?

This is mere speculation. Just think for a minute. What are the odds they'd crown a Black Japanese woman out of the dozens and dozens of competitors? They knew picking her would create great publicity, and so they did.

Personally, I'd see it as an insult to ehtnic Yamato women which implies their looks are not worthy of representing an entire nation in which Yamato people are the majority.

Or maybe they felt that she outperformed the other contestants. Not everything is some kind of "social justice" conspiracy.

I wont deny thats a potential possibility as well, but lets not kid ourselves into thinking this wasnt motivated by publicity. It generated lots of buzz didnt it? Was she chosen cause of her novelty or because the judges truly felt she represented Japan?

She can't win on her own merits? She may be biracial, not Yamato, Ainu, or Ryukyuan but she is still culturally Japanese down to her mannerisms.
