Saito (68) Sheik and Koloff say...something, probably, but the Funks beat them in a 6-man tag last week! They bicker a bit until JJ Dillon books them in the main event. The winning single wrestler will challenge Flair! (61, Sheik's Crazy Old Man gets 96) Speaking of whom, Flair and Steamboat are teamed up in a winning effort against Style and Substance. (77) Michaels is watching backstage and enjoying seeing his mentor Steamboat team up with another champ. Maybe he should get some gold of his own! He eyeballs the passing FoF, but they tell him not to think about it. (57) Death and Taxes roll through Future Perfect in a solid match. (73) Powers is still cranky and feeling underused. I should probably just formally turn him heel. (53) Tully issues an open challenge, but this one is gonna be whoever happens to walk through a nearby door next! It's an unsuspecting Jack Brisco, who has a bad time. (79) Hogan and Tenryu have a pretty great match outta nowhere. Hogan goes over. (82) But backstage, Hansen is mauling La Parka as Elizabeth looks on in horror! Message SENT, Hogan. (60) Ventura taunts Bruno, but he does get another shot! If Bruno can beat Lawler, he can get Ventura one on one, but if he loses, he's done with the NWA Title picture! (80) Bruno and Lawler have a back and forth match. Ref bumps and Lawler grabs a chair....but here comes Muraco with the Rac Bottom! He gives a little wave to Bruno and then runs interference against Ventura while Bruno gets the pin. (77, Muraco's Cocky Face gets 99) Jones and Snuka provide an over the top dramatic update on Jones' recovery process. (63) #1 Contender (for the WWF Title): Funks vs. Sheik and Koloff! Heels are actually able to hang...and Bundy comes out! Referee Dan Davis can't keep track of everybody, with Terry and Bundy brawling on the outside and Sheik and Koloff doubleteaming Dory. Sheik pins Dory for the three when the dust clears. (81) Flair comes out to stare Sheik down while the new #1 Contender yells something that might be English. (92) Overall: 83 SUCCESS NEWS -WCCW gets 78 (ME: Orndorff/Street d. backlund/Gibson) --- Look at all those chickens I can be impulsive!
