Male gaze is a stupid term. It's natural for men to want tolook at sexually attractive women. Why shame them for it?
Male Gaze isn't that, exactly. As I understand it, it's a complaint that the camera in media assumes the gaze of a male audience. So, you get scenes that lingers on or pans over women in a way it doesn't typically do for men.
For example, the bouncing boobs in anime or in a movie when the camera slowly pans over a sexy women's body.
It is a thing that happens, but I don't buy that it's a problem.
In addition, there was nothing wrong with Samus' breasts in SSB4. They were fine. As a man married to a woman with an ample bosom, it does irk me when critics complain about big breasts being ridiculous.
Of course something would be filmed from a male perspective if it was trying to attract a male audience.
