No, he's right. As docile as this bear is, it's still an undomesticated wild animal, and if it gets properly ticked off, then it can and will kill both of them.

No. Just one day the animal gets grumpy and accidentally swats you in the head, you will die. Even humans act out sometimes. An animal that size is dangerous and should be handled with care. There is a reason why large animals are not domesticated and used as house pets.
