| Topic | Is it unprofessional to show up to work, just to use the bathroom first thing? |
| ProfDE 06/10/18 11:00:22 PM #41: | If it is a once in a great while thing fine, but if this is a daily occurrence, it is time theft. When you clock in, you are suppose to be ready to work, not take an extra 15 minutes doing whatever. The responsible thing to do is either go to the bathroom at home or use the bathroom before clocking in for the day. I work in retail so I always expect the people who I supervise to be on the clock in their assigned area within 5 minutes of their scheduled start time. There was one person that would always clock back in when done with lunch and immediately use the bathroom before going back up front. When it became clear to me that it was a pattern and not just a one-of instance, I got with management and they put a stop to it. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
