This is a very good question

It's all a read to me but it goes something like this: Godfather is the 1 role in mafia that never has to change their play the entire game (unless they're about to be lynched). Godfather never has to send a kill, or explain a suspicious night action/scan, or worry about dying before revealing their scans, or convince town to lynch one person or the other, or struggle with a claim, or defend a fellow townie, or worry if they're defending scum. From D1 to game over they can play a very static simple town vanilla game. Whoever gets lynched is fine. They can completely blend in with lurkers and vanillas.

But it is artificial. They are TRYING to blend in with the vanillas. They are TRYING to make light posts here and there. They are TRYING to get on scum trains not because they care about scum, but because it's townish to be on a scum train. They will never ever make a fake claim or do any kind of fake (or real) powertell as many of us have done in this game. That's the real strength of the Godfather. They are protected from the cop, sure, but that's just 1 aspect of their fundamental power: complete daytime safety.

All of this applies strongly to Arti, and also FD (with the added layer of IRL "omg guys I don't have time to post!" smokescreen and a lot of info aggregation posts, which is risky but works well with experienced players). It does not at all apply to Donk, or DYL/Scep/Crescent slots. They could definitely be GF but it just wouldn't be my read.

I would still lean towards FD as godfather because I think all mafia have to be a bit more aggressive in this game, so they don't have the usual luxury of a lowkey godfather. But I don't want to discount Arti as godfather.

Is there any particular reason Foolmo had to/wanted to hammer yesterday? Looks like he tried to and then was 1 vote short, someone else was asked to hammer and then Foolmo ended up hammering anyway.

SE is contributing/reading well (it is true that Scare had a hard scum read on me for a while) so I feel better about that slot

FD, DYL, Arti, Col are lacking today. Maybe that means they are comfortable town. Can't really be comfortable as mafia at this point, but if you're well experienced then maybe (as FD and Arti are IIRC). I can't believe we're this far and still have such little activity though.
