Because it's mostly fake. Only 1 person had their face censored, that person was probably a real bicycle thief; while the others were volunteers.

Yeah but I mean if this video serves as just an "example" prank, it does bring about a good topic (hence it's over 250 posts in three days). Like if someone actually set up their bike like this for real to deter thieves, and said thief went and broke their face and got a concussion, would they be able to sue the owner for something? Knowing our legal system it wouldn't surprise me, despite it seeming totally counter-intuitive.

Again morally I have no problem with it, especially in cities with rampant bike thieves (college towns in particular)
