I would urge all those with any role in relation to knives manufacturers, shops, the police, local authorities, the government to consider preventing the sale of long pointed knives, except in rare, defined, circumstances, and replacing such knives with rounded ends."

But liberals told me there is no slippery slope when it comes to gun control regulations in the United States... How is this possible???

Your example is one man in an entire country?

Great topic.

There's plenty of examples. Cops can raid houses without warrants looking for "illegal" knives, and will take pretty much whatever they want. A few weeks ago, London police tweeted out a picture of the "dangerous weapons" they confiscated from a no-knock raid on an apartment building. It included a butter knife, a couple of screwdrivers, and a pair of pliers.

These are "dangerous and deadly weapons" we need to get off the streets, apparently.
