I really enjoyed X1, X2 and X3. X4 was good, but IMO underwhelming. It was an overly simple game with some fluff and cutscenes to make it look like more than it was IMO.

X5 was trash. X6 was virtually unplayable with how bad it was.

I did not play X7 or X8.

Zero series is good aside for the quirky chips and elf systems (the difficulty varies so drastically depending on what you do, it's hard to tell how it's meant to be played unless you consider doing everything perfectly to be the real game).

the ZX series is underrated, especially the first one. I really liked the "Metroidvania-lite" elements.

Obviously, the original series is awesome (I must have played MM2 at least 200 times when I was 7~), though aside for 2-3-4 and the recent ones, I tend to mix up which is which to be able to talk about them.
