If you're spending that much why not get one of the LG's?

It's hard to find them in stock for a price I want nearby, I don't want to order it online, and slightly worried about image retention/burn in. Plus I want something that when I upgrade the TV in 4-5 years later to wow me when OLED is hopefully not stupid expensive to the same route. =p

Did you win the lottery

No, I've been saving up and buying a ton of stuff to move into my new apartment. I got a lot of the other stuff in order (I still need a new couch but meh that can wait until I know what my room layout is gonna be, my computer chair will work fine for now) so time to buy the TV I wanted. >_>

Gonna mount the tv on the ceiling and watch while you lay on the new mattress

I'm not sure that's how TVs work.

I recently replaced my old 1080p TV too.

Ended up getting a 55 inch TCL, forget the model number but it has 4K/HDR/etc.

It was one of the cheaper TVs out there but I'm pretty satisfied with it so far.

I was looking at the recent TCL but there seems to be a real quality control issue with vertical banding and I don't wanna deal with buying a TV, setting it up, seeing it's garbo, returning it, and playing the lotto to get a non-garbo one. >_>
