My first vehicle was my dads 91 Toyota Hilux as a hand me down, so learned to drive manual on that.

My current ride (2016 Chevy Colorado) is also a manual though thats more because they didnt have any automatics left on the lot and was able to get a decent deal on the manual

the manual was cheaper? iirc this is usually not the case.

Manual is usually always cheaper. Go to car website and "build" a new car. You'll see that adding automatic increases the price a good thousand dollars or so.


Pretty much, just KBBed my truck and the automatic has $1,000 more value than the manual
