no, by all means save for retirement, but don't think you have to wait until you're in your 60's to finally start enjoying life

Except by "living in the moment" usually people mean blowing all their money on expensive trips, lavish parties, and consumer crap.


because there's absolutely no gradients between "work your ass off so you can retire at 40" and "spend all your money and work to survive well into your 70's-80's"


Also this.

I occasionally take a week off a year. Two weeks one year. But at what my earning potential without out of town work is that basically destroys my.finances even though I stay here on my vacations. Yay tourist Town summers.
