Right that's why dogs will chase air when you throw "something" but cats just look at you like you're weird.

Because dogs recognize that something would have been thrown because your hand moved. Cats lack the ability to imply that something was thrown until they actually see it happen because they sacrifice inductive reasoning for super fast reflexes.

So yes, even that is an example of dogs being more intelligent.

You're also arguing against established science here.
