this gets lost once convicted. prisoners don't have the same rights as a free man. proof? prisoners are not allowed to carry guns and can be searched at will at anytime without a warrant.

so yeah....slavery is legal as a form of punishment when convicted for a crime.

The American government doesnt need to accommodate the dietary needs of prisoners unless its a matter of health like being allergic to something. You lost your right to practice your religious dietary needs freely when you wound up behind bars, youre in no position to demand the government to cater to your specific needs, youll get the same food every other prisoner gets.

you're in jail for committing a crime.

you are there for two purposes:

1. serve time for being a criminal
2. proof through good behavior why you should be let out anytime soon and be given a second chance. sometimes even let out early if you can prove you are not a criminal anymore.

so short of a food allergy, get yourself, serve your time, and stop pretending anyone has to give a shit about your personal requirements to live.

don't want to live in a shitty jail cell for X number of years? don't be a felon. it's that simple.
