This one is really tripping me out.

At first I didnt think anything of this. It was clearly 3 syllables. Brain Nee-dle the second d hard and emphasized almost almost like 3 separate words. The light even flashes with each syllable. How could it be storm, there is no s or t sound in there at all.

And then it happened. When I wasnt trying so hard, looking at the screen, it became Brainstawm with the r barely pronounced. As if the person saying it has a bit of an accent.

But even though I can hear it both ways, I cant make sense of them being the same thing. I dont understand the differences in syllables, and I dont understand how these sounds that are so strong, cant be heard anymore. The D in needle is really hard, why can I not hear it in brainstorm. I can understand hearing green or brain, since they are similar but storm and needle are not.
