I find it so hilarious that these counter-culture bands who are considered anti-pop and rebellious was also a formulated system made just to make money, just like regular pop music. I mean once you understand this how can you still respect the artist?

Bomb the Music Industry! said it best.

Every Fugazi record has a catalog number and a price tag and every independent label is selling you another goddamn product.

True. And funnily enough for all the crap that Kurt talked about Pearl Jam and their so-called "selling out" or playing to the mainstream, Pearl Jam actually made NO MUSIC VIDEOS on their second album, whereas Nirvana made at least one video for their 3rd, In Utero (Heart Shaped Box). PJ outsold Nirvana between those 2 albums (7x platinum versus 5x platinum). Crazy!

Pearl Jam took Ticketmaster to court in 1995 over their concert fees and now I'm certain that they've used the service for the last number of years. Rock bands are strange.
