| Darmik 05/22/18 7:40:36 PM #42: | Yes in Fallout 1 you have to get the water chip and you lived in the vault. But a lot more is still left open. You can play as a different variety of potential characters. You can be a young guy or an old lady. IIRC how you ended up in that vault and who you were raised with there with isn't relevant. A lot more is left blank. Finding a water chip for your home isn't as static and predefined as finding your scientist father who ran away from the vault mysteriously.
