I understand this mindset. It's expensive, traffic can be an absolute nightmare, and the music... ain't for everybody. Hell, it ain't even for me. I rarely listened to electronic music before this, and I probably won't start now, yet my roommate and I have already discussed the possibility of going to more of these. The vibe of the place - the vibrancy of the colors against a black backdrop, the pulsation of the music (which honestly all bled together to me), the strange but disarming charm of the people - can't really be put into words.
