Our Revolution has frustrated Democrats by staying on the sidelines of so many races. Northams 2017 general election campaign was the World Series of politics, said Virginia Democratic Party chairwoman Susan Swecker, and they chose not to go to the game. Its also left the group without tangible successes to point to or allies in power wholl be able to help it or Sanders down the line.

Didn't Northam take a dump on immigrants like the week before the election? There are good reasons why Our Revolution might not hop on board with every Democratic candidate. The other examples in this story make more sense than Northam.

Likewise, later in the story...

Last week, Our Revolution endorsed actress Cynthia Nixon in the primary for New York governor after she filled out a questionnaire and did an interview with a local affiliate. But an aide to her opponent, Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who last year was joined by Sanders at an event promoting a state initiative on the senators signature issue of free college, said his campaign knew nothing of the process and learned of the endorsement from a press release.

Andrew Cuomo is not gonna get this endorsement no matter the process.

I can't speak to the inner workings of OR, but I think there's a tension at play here. Given that the Democratic Party has been criticized for a lack of transparency and favoritism towards moderate candidates, do you, as an outside organization ostensibly seeking to rectify this:
A) Exemplify the sort of transparency and fairness in your endorsement decisions that you would like to see from the party
B) Serve as an ideological counterweight, choosing to back left-wing candidates whenever possible

Some of the criticism in this article (particularly that bit about Cuomo) seems to expect A from Our Revolution, but I think there are problems of asymmetry with that path. What good is extending an olive branch or whatever to Andrew Cuomo when the party will in no way do the same for his opponent?
