Neither The Master of Disguise nor The Last Airbender are as terrible as their reputations imply. The real problem is that they were movies made for children, and then asshole twentysomethings went to see them and complained that they weren't being catered to.
And here I thought The Last Airbender was critically panned because it had a bad script, poor directing, horrible acting, poor special effects, and terribly done post-converted 3-d. I can't comment about The Master of Disguise, but you're giving The Last Airbender more credit than it deserves. It wasn't just some asshole twentysomethings complaining that they weren't being catered to.

Basically, PO, think of the live action adaptation of Avatar TLA as being on par with jumping from the earlier Fourth Doctor years to the worst episodes under Moffat's handling of Doctor Who. Think of the outrage that would come from the fanbase as their beloved franchise (and source material) is transformed from a golden classic to liquid shit.
