I'm still a liberal, I've been a staunch left winger for my whole life but this JP debacle has exposed parts of the liberal movement to be dishonest ideologically driven propagandists. I mean when I see supposed news sources calling him an alt righter or that he's a transphobe and that he hates Jews then I really opened my eyes to the fact that some of the rjght's criticism of the left is actually true, specifically the criticism of liberal media sources. I never believed a word of it till JP. I thought FOX News did all the lying and left leaning channels only make honest mistakes. And while that's still mostly true, I've now accspted that the left will like just as egregiously as the right, tho I'd say just not as much

Dude I agree with everything you just said and have realized the exact same thing these past 6 months. Except I am now independent, I won't call myself liberal anymore.

I mean I read the Washington post everyday, i have for years. I read about foreign leaders about artists, criminals you name it. However i dont know any of these people I read about I just accept that the journalists are being honest. Meanwhile I have for a long time loved to listen to Jordan Peterson lectures and speeches on youtube. I have listened to over 100 hours of them. So when I came accroas a Washington post article one day on JP it was like the first time I was reading them talk about someone I actually knew.

It was all lies, it was entirely slanted/slandering/mis characterizing/half truths garbage. Now I think of all the thousands of articles I have read from this newspaper my entire life and its honestly an earth shattering wakeup call. I am actually forced to defend the president calling these people fake news. That's exactly what the fuck they are, fake news.

Yep, when you're an expert on something that's when you can easily spot the bullshit in journalism. It's truly an eye opening experience.
