I can go to Walmart, and get work jeans (some stupid name like Rustler I think) for 12 bucks a pair. Thanks shirts are 5 bucks. So for 1 pair of Carhartts and1 shirt, I can get 7 days worth of clothing. If I wore each "day" in succession, it'd take 7 weeks to wear each of them as many times as I'd wear my one day of more expensive clothing in one week.
