Time magic you can literally stop time for everyone but the caster and take like 8 turns in a row. That should be enough said really. Also you can combine it with stasis to get 8 turns forever. Though that's often more trouble than it's worth-- just nuke 8 times and be done with it. Also worth noting that Overdrive (the time stop move) always goes first (except maybe if used on the same turn another move with initiative happens, not sure there). He doesn't even give the enemy a chance to kill him.
