Day ones been great so far, instead of eating junk like instant noodle when I Was stuck in Bali last year I can have a proper meal for Sahur

And I dont actually change my diet much come to think of it. The fasting in Indonesia usually starts around 4:20ish in the early morning, and we break our fast around 17:50ish. Depends on when the sun rises and sets each year... which makes fasting in certain parts of the world harder.

Anyway, yeah, where I usually go with a light breakfast, I go with my standard home lunch/dinner dishes. I usually eat rice + vegetable soup with some protein, and make sure to drink a lot of water during the Sahur. I usually eat at 3:15ish to give me plenty of time to eat.

For breaking the fast I usually drink water and something sweet, pray a bit, THEN pig out... though not so much pigging out since its still the same portion as usual.

During fasting, were encouraged to do more good deeds and do less bad ones, so same ol same ol. Were also encouraged to read through the Koran fully once at least during the month. But the mandatory thing is just the fasting thing, no food, no drinks, Oh and uh, no sex/deeding. After breaking the fast its ok.

As for not getting irritated, I think its mostly powering through your first few fasts until you got the hang of it, then its no big deal. Might be because of lack of sleep too.

Wait you dont eat for A WHOLE 13 hours.... that's not even fasting lmao

If I sleep at 8pm and don't eat breakfast until 10am you call that fasting ?!

Lorddddd that won't give you any benefits.
