Barnett told KFOR that hes received death threats since the comments went viral. But he swears they arent his and someone is posting on his behalf.

There are people saying they want to shoot me, they are going to assassinate me, they are going to shoot me, they are going to blow us up, Barnett claimed. Im in this election. Im not dropping out. Theyre not going to intimidate me.

death threats and murder are wrong. thoughts and prayers to him.

Hell if I care. If someone is vying for a position of power and saying these things, pushing for the government to have the choice as to what type of people can breathe in our civilization, he deserves to be lambasted. That mindset is too dangerous to give any control for. And what angers me more about this is that he didn't denounce those quotes.

I see this, and I can feel myself becoming an uglier person. He's receiving death threats for those comments and I'm disturbed at how vindicated I feel.

Then ask yourself, "what would it take for me to fall into this scenario where I'd be a target of a hypothetical disabled witch hunt?". I have a cousin who made a good life for herself as an accountant, then teaching but her medical issues got worse over the years and left her unable to hold a full time job. She's living on disability but she's still raising her two daughters (her husband passed away) and is taking care of my elder autistic brother. For me, I'm 2 steps away from being a target, I have medical issues as well, they're under control but I can see scenarios where they go out of whack and I recess event though I've been taking steps ensure this doesn't happen. I may have a job, but my job was threatened by hurricane season last year and I, along with the rest of the island was food stamps for a time.

I think greatest advantage of technology today is that we have the tools to create solutions to help people contribute no matter who they are. I remember reading an article on a Japanese guy who got into an accident and was left quadriplegic but he made a career out of being artist using his mouth and with today's tech. Giving people the motivation and chance to thrive benefits us all as a happier and more prideful community.
