That's my preference. I like long, intricate sentences with varied vocabulary. "Long, intricate sentences with varied vocabulary" is also an easy go to for the pretentious unskilled writer who thinks more writing=better writing and therefore fills their work with purple prose with story concepts that present themselves as deep but are actually shallower than pulp fantasy, so don't be surprised if your pining for it makes people project other things on to you and your writing. --- ...
